Shopify Integration Partners: Put the Apps You Already Pay For in One Conversation

TL;DR

Shopify merchants are not asking for another dashboard. They want the apps they already run to show up when a shopper hesitates. ShopGuide integration partners put Klaviyo, Judge.me, Rivyo, Smile.io, Alia, and Slack into the same on-page conversation.

Authors

Open r/shopify on a random Tuesday.

You will not find a thread begging for a fifteenth widget.

You will find a store that installed 18 apps, each solving one small job, and then watched the storefront get slower and the admin get weirder. You will find people cutting tracking scripts because Core Web Vitals ate their ranking. You will find someone who bought a loyalty app, spent two weeks configuring tiers, and still could not get a shopper to notice the points at checkout.

The complaint is consistent. The tools work. They just do not talk at the moment the shopper is deciding.

That is the only feature this post is about. ShopGuide integration partners. The public list lives on the integrations page. The agent uses those partners so the stack you already pay for shows up in one conversation.

One feature: the partner stack rides in the chat

ShopGuide is an on-page agent. You add the ShopGuide Chat section in the theme editor. Settings live in the Shopify admin. Product truth comes from the Shopify Catalog API during the conversation: stock, variants, price.

The partners are not a second product. They are context the catalog does not store.

Klaviyo already owns email and popups. Judge.me or Rivyo already owns reviews. Smile.io already owns points. Alia already owns personalized offers. Slack already owns the team channel. ShopGuide reads those systems when they matter and writes back only where the partner actually supports it.

Most pairings turn on when both apps are installed. Slack is the exception. That one needs an incoming webhook URL in ShopGuide settings.

You do not have to connect every partner. A store on Judge.me and Klaviyo does not need Rivyo or Alia for the agent to be useful.

What each partner on the page actually does

This is the live set. No vapor. No coming soon.

Deep dives already exist if you only care about one pairing: Klaviyo, Judge.me and Rivyo, Smile.io, Slack.

The integrations page is the map. Those posts are the streets.

How ShopGuide itself is wired in

Three connections. That is the product.

1. Theme block. One storefront surface. Launch messages, visibility, and styling live in the app admin. Partners do not each drop another script farm on the page.

2. Shopify Admin. Home, dashboard, Test your Guide, settings. Chat-attributed revenue shows up there. You do not leave Shopify to see if the agent sold anything.

3. Live Catalog API. The agent looks up the products in play from Shopify, not from a CSV you uploaded last month. A sold-out SKU should not get recommended as available. Details sit in the live Catalog API post.

Partners attach to that same conversation. They do not get their own chat window.

What merchants actually want to read

Operators do not want a manifesto about ecosystems. They want to know if the money they already spend shows up when a shopper hesitates.

On Reddit the pattern is blunt. Eighteen apps that each do a sliver of the job. Scripts stacking until page speed tanks. Loyalty programs that take a week to configure and then hide in a corner widget. Reviews sitting below the fold while the shopper asks, in chat, whether the jacket runs large.

The useful test is not how many logos are on a partner page. It is whether the shopper hears one of these sentences before they bounce:

  • A real review that answers the size question.
  • You have 500 points. That is $5 off today.
  • The offer from the popup they just closed is still available.
  • A human can pick this up. Here is the cart and the transcript.

On a 200-SKU boutique that is polite. On a 10,000-SKU catalog it is how the same question stops becoming a ticket.

Honest limits

Say this before you flip anything on.

ShopGuide does not replace Klaviyo, Judge.me, Rivyo, Smile.io, Alia, or Slack. If the partner app is missing or misconfigured, there is nothing to read.

Reviews in chat are only as good as the reviews you have collected.

Smile.io only helps once the shopper is identified. A first-time anonymous visitor has no points to surface.

Slack is one-way. ShopGuide posts context into a channel. Your team still resolves in Shopify or the ShopGuide admin. You do not run the whole conversation from Slack replies.

Klaviyo does not invent a list. Popup recovery and follow-up only work if Klaviyo is actually on the store and the shopper gives an email.

The agent cannot invent metafields that live only inside another app and never in Shopify. Dirty product data still produces thin answers. The Catalog API keeps stock honest. It does not write your descriptions.

That is the deal. Native wiring. Partner context when it exists. Not a new operating system.

Agents will become a common way people shop. Commerce just plugs in and feels seamless in conversations.

The point of a partner stack is the same sentence. Plug the facts you already paid for into the conversation.

That line is the climax, and it is not a ShopGuide slogan. It is how Shopify is describing the channel.

ShopGuide's job on your store is smaller than that vision. Put the agent on the page. Read the catalog. Bring in the partner facts you already pay for. Hand off to a human with the transcript when the agent is stuck.

Connect the ones you run. Leave the rest alone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are ShopGuide integration partners?

They are the apps ShopGuide can read from or write to during a guided session: Klaviyo, Judge.me, Rivyo, Smile.io, Alia, and Slack, plus the native Shopify Catalog API. The public list is on the integrations page.

How is ShopGuide integrated into Shopify?

Three places. A theme block on the storefront. A native app in the Shopify admin for analytics and settings. Direct reads from the Shopify Catalog API during chat. Partner apps attach to that same conversation.

Do I have to replace my current apps?

No. Keep the apps that already work. ShopGuide reads them. It does not ask you to rip Klaviyo or Judge.me out.

Will this add more scripts and slow the storefront?

ShopGuide is one theme block. Partners are not copied onto the page as extra pixels. The agent reads those systems during the conversation.

How do I turn a partner on?

Install both apps. Most pairings activate when both are live. Slack needs an incoming webhook URL pasted into ShopGuide settings.

What if I only use some of the partners?

Use the ones you run. A partial stack still works. You do not need every logo on the page.

Does Slack let my team reply inside Slack?

No. Slack gets an alert with customer, cart, and a transcript link. Resolution stays in Shopify or the ShopGuide admin so the history lives in one place.
